Female lead. Late teens to early 20s, female with a light Appalachian accent. Walks the line with a sly sarcastic sense of humor. Preferably experience riding horses, but not necessary. Implied nudity.

[CHARLOTTE]

Late teens to early 20s, female with a sweet Southern drawl. Extroverted, carefree, bubbly, impulsive, and boy-crazy but a girl’s girl through and through. Natalie’s best friend since they were little, she is fiercely loyal and considered an honorary member of Natalie’s family. She is very genuine and a true firecracker.

[JEREMIAH]

Late teens to early 20s, African American and male with a smooth Southern drawl. Hannah’s best friend, he is modest and traditional, yet possesses a charismatic sarcasm.

[AMELIA]

Early to late teens, female. Natalie’s sister. Possesses the spite, humor, and sweetness of a girl suffering from crippling adolescence.

[CHRIS]

Mid 40s to late 50s, male. Natalie’s father. Must balance paternal warmth with a hardened expression only a seasoned Army veteran could have.

[RACHEL]

Mid 40s to late 50s, female. Natalie’s mother. Must balance an obligation to traditional parenting with a want to still be there for her daughters. She means well, although sometimes her words don’t match her actions, and will ride or die for her family always.

[MARY]

Late 40s to early 60s, female with an Appalachian accent. Hannah’s mother. Quick to judge, a permanent scowl on her saccharine, lightly wrinkled face.

[ADAM]

Late 40s to early 60s, male with an Appalachian accent. Hannah’s father. Possesses enough violent anger in his countenance to justify his habitual silence.

[LUKE]

Early to late teens, male with a light Appalachian accent. Hannah’s baby brother. He knows how much Hannah cares for him, so he does his best to repay her by remaining a constant of light and joy in her life.

[CALEB]

Early to late 20s, male with a light Appalachian accent. Must balance gruff outer shell with a loyal, loving interior. Loves his siblings more than anything, but feels a responsibility to care for their farm and family as the future of the Calhoun farm. Was raised by his father to be a strong, cold, and unfeeling man, but does his best to show love to his siblings in the ways he knows how.
